FAITH! CC- ARISE. IN LYNBROOK.

Faith! Christian Church Arise is a branch church of Faith! Christian Church Dandenong.
After 14 exciting months of vibrant work establishing Arise Church in the Chapel at Harvest Bible College in Dandenong, they now have relocated their Sunday services in Lynbrook Primary School Gymnasium Hall from 20th September `09.
That was the aim of Arise church to be a church of significant influence impacting our community as the vision statement of the main church- Faith! Christian Church. Pastor Nga Takau is a Cook Islander but their church purpose is to reach out and cater for all cultures as God leads. Their first Arise service began in the chapel on Sunday 6th July 2008. After one year together they had an average of 85 adults weekly
Was Pastor Nga nervous about moving out to Lyndbrook at first? “Yes!”, he emphatically says. In fact, he says he was terrified, doubtful and fearful. Why did he have these feeling? The church members who were serving at Arise were not residents of Lynbrook and he did not know if they would come. Yet he believed God wanted him to outreach in the area and beyond and a good hall became available there. He praises God for the great support of the members and the blessed approval of his senior Pastor Alun Davies.
Lynbrook Primary School, where they meet, has been very helpful giving them access to two buildings weekly for their church service and Sunday school programme. At time of writing (Oct 2009) Faith CC - Arise has been in Lynbrook community for 4 Sundays and is averaging 155 people each week. Pastor Nga thanks God for His graciousness to them.
They look forward with great expectations as they look forward to embracing the new-year.
